Prevention & Hygiene

The Canadian Dental Association recommends visiting a dentist for screening, prevention, and hygiene care. Dental hygienists specialize in maintaining healthy teeth, while the dentist is the only professional qualified to examine your mouth and provide personalized preventive tools and treatments.

Restorative Dentistry

When tooth structure is damaged due to decay, wear, or trauma, we have the skills and advanced technology needed to restore function and aesthetics. Our goal is to rehabilitate your smile with precision and care.

Pediatric Dentistry

For children, prevention and the development of healthy habits are essential to maintaining a healthy smile. We are happy to care for little ones with gentleness and patience, taking the time to teach them how to protect their bright smiles!

Endodontics

When the tooth nerve is dead or severely inflamed, a root canal is the only way to keep the tooth in place comfortably. We use cutting-edge technology to make endodontic treatments smoother and more successful.

Periodontics

The periodontium refers to the tissues that support the teeth — gums, ligaments, and bone. About 75% of adults will experience some form of periodontitis in their lifetime, making it one of the leading causes of tooth loss. We screen for periodontal disease during every routine exam and will be happy to guide you in prevention and treatment options.

Orthodontics

Orthodontic treatments have become much more comfortable! We now use digital scanning for impressions, visual simulations of how your teeth will move, and clear aligners to discreetly and effectively align your teeth with predictable results.

Stomatology

Tooth loss - whether recent or decades old - should not be overlooked. Removable dentures offer a quick, affordable, and effective solution for restoring function and aesthetics. We will guide you every step of the way to ensure your comfort and confidence throughout the process.

Emergency

mergencies are always welcome! We will do our best to adjust our schedule to help any patient in need.

Q&A

Frequently Asked Questions

The recommended frequency for a dental cleaning varies from every 3 months to once a year. For patients with periodontal disease (i.e., gum disease), it’s important to maintain gum health with professional cleanings 3 to 4 times per year. Your hygienist and dentist will provide personalized advice on the ideal frequency for your hygiene visits.

Each year, the Association des Chirurgiens Dentistes du Québec (ACDQ) publishes the Fee Guide and Nomenclature of Dental Procedures. This guide serves as a reference, but dentists are free to set their own fees. At Clinique Dentaire Trois-Rivières, we choose to follow the ACDQ guide to ensure fairness and transparency in our pricing.

Every treatment — and every patient — is different! Thanks to technologies that make dental anesthesia more effective, it’s now much easier to provide pain-free treatments. It’s important to understand that some treatments, especially if you’re already in pain before your appointment, may be more uncomfortable than others. Regular yearly visits help prevent many issues and make any necessary treatments easier to handle. No matter the situation, you’ll always find patience and empathy at our clinic, even during the toughest moments.
